Appel d’une centaine d’universitaires et d’activistes contre la censure de Farid Esack

Dans le cadre de la Semaine contre l’Apartheid Israélien (IAW), la campagne BDS France organise la tournée du militant anti apartheid sud-africain Farid Esack dans plusieurs villes de France.

Farid Esack, une figure majeure de la lutte sud africaine pour la libération, chef de file pour l’égalité des genres et l’un des plus éminents universitaires internationaux sur le pluralisme religieux est aujourd’hui censuré dans plusieurs universités françaises.

Des centaines d’universitaires et d’activistes ont lancé une pétition, commençant ce jeudi 26 mars, avec un appel aux universités françaises à laisser Farid Esack s’exprimer librement. Farid Esack commence sa tournée ce soir à l’Université Paris1 où il est censuré.

Hundreds of academics and activists call against the ban on Farid Esack

As part of the Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW), BDS France will organize a tour to several cities in France where South African anti apartheid activist Farid Esack will speak.

Farid Esack, a major figure in the South African liberation struggle, gender equality activist and one of the most prominent international scholars on religious pluralism has now censored in several French universities.

Hundreds of academics and activists have launched a petition beginning this Thursday, March 26, with a call for universities in France to let Farid Esack speak freely. Farid kicks off his tour tonight at the Paris 1 University where he has been banned from speaking.
