Abdallah Abu Rhamah’s decisive remand hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 29th (the day after tomorrow).

We would like to present the judge with as many signatures as possible to the letter below, from people who participated in demonstrations in the village, and know Abdallah.

If you are willing to sign this letter, please send an email to bilinlegal@gmail.com stating you would like to sign the bellow letter, and note your full name, passport number and nationality.

To whom it may concern,

We, the undersigned, have participated in demonstrations against the wall in the village of Bil’in on numerous occasions in the past years, and would like to state that the Bil’in Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlements organizes peaceful demonstrations to protest the construction of the Wall on their land. Further more, Abdallah Abu Rahmah, which we all personally know, had specifically prevented and discouraged youth from throwing stones in an attempt to keep the demonstrations peaceful.
It is true, on occasion, demonstrations have deteriorated to violence, but when stone throwing did occur, it was never condoned by neither the Bil’in Popular Committee generally, nor by Abdallah Abu Rahmah personally. On the contrary, when such things did happen, they happened against the opinion of the committee, and despite efforts to frustrate them from taking place.

We, the undersigned are willing to give a sworn testimony supporting the above statement, and ask of the court to release Abdallah Abu Rahmah from detention.
